Who we are

A boutique practice built around doing youth therapy exceptionally well.

Clarity CBT & DBT Center is a boutique, private-pay concierge practice founded by Dr. Erica Rozmid, PhD, ABPP. We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care possible to all youth — children, teens, and young adults — including those who are high-risk. Our work is grounded in CBT, DBT, and ERP from our home base in Los Angeles.

Who thrives here

Who tends to thrive here.

When we asked our senior clinicians what makes Clarity different and why they have stayed, the same themes came up again and again.

01

Someone who stopped looking for a job a while ago

A person looking for a job is not a fit. The clinicians who last here are invested in the work the way they are invested in a patient — they feel like part of Clarity.

02

Energized by high-acuity work

We do hard treatment with high-acuity patients — active suicidality, self-harm, cases that haven't responded anywhere else. If this makes you lean in, keep reading.

03

A commitment to evidence-based care

Someone who is well-versed in the research on what treatments work best for youth and young adults, and who prioritizes high quality of care.

04

A real collaborator

Someone who likes working on a team and collaborating with others. Two or three of us touch every case.

05

A lifer

Our senior clinicians both started by seeing a few patients and never left. We are looking for the person who will still be here in 10 years.

What you get

What this position gives you that private practice almost never does.

Benefits that rarely exist in private practice

Health insurance. 401(k) match of 3%. Paid licensure. Paid trainings.

Training you cannot buy

Direct supervision from our expert psychologists. When a case calls for expertise the team doesn't have yet, Dr. Rozmid will book an outside consult with an expert.

A team that has your back

Two or three clinicians on every case, real consultation, and colleagues who pick up the phone when you need them.

Patients whose progress is real

Because the care is high quality and the standard is real, you get to watch people get measurably better.

Flexibility on schedule

You have real say over your own calendar and how you structure your week.

An honest picture before you apply

What's hard about this work.

We want you to have a clear picture before you apply. Here is what is genuinely demanding about this work.

The acuity is the job

We don't do low-acuity talk therapy. Many of our patients have tried therapy before, and that is exactly why they are with us.

The hours aren't nine to five

Our population needs evenings, and sometimes a session happens at 9pm because that is when a teen is in crisis. While you can have flexibility in determining your own schedule, our patients also need evening or weekend therapy slots.

Pay tracks attendance

This is private pay, so when a patient doesn't schedule, that hour isn't billed. We protect against this as a team with no-show policies and rarely have a light week.

Phone coaching asks for self-awareness

Phone coaching works best when you know your own limits. We will help you set them, and we just ask that you stay open to learning.

Supervision is direct

Sessions are recorded and scored against an adherence rubric. You will get honest feedback every week, always delivered with care.

If that sounds like the practice you have been looking for, we'd love to meet you.

Non-negotiables

What you will need.

  • PhD or PsyD with CBT or DBT training.
  • At least three years of supervised work with kids, teens, or young adults in these modalities.
  • Willingness to work with patients who are suicidal and self-harming.
Compensation: Competitive pay, above market for the region, plus the benefits above.
